The Polytechnic, Ibadan cut-off mark is the minimum qualifying score or percentage set by the educational institution to determine an aspirant’s eligibility for admission into a particular course or program. 

The cut-off mark is typically based on various factors, including the competitiveness of the course, the number of available seats, the overall performance of applicants, and the specific requirements of the institution.

The JAMB cut off mark for The Polytechnic, Ibadan widely knowns as PolyIbadan has been announced to the general public and aspirants as the institution’s UTME cut off mark for 2023/24 ND applicants is now set to 150 for all courses.

This means for any aspirants to be eligible to apply for PolyIbadan 2023/24 academic session application form, he/she must have attained a minimum of 150 overall score in UTME and choose The Polytechnic, Ibadan as first choice institution on the JAMB form.

However, the above 150 cut-off mark only applies to candidates aspiring for The Polytechnic, Ibadan National Diploma(ND) form as the institution has other similar programs as listed below as well as Higher National Diploma (HND) programs.

The Polytechnic, Ibadan National Diploma (ND) 2023/24 UTME Cut-off Mark

UTME short for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, is an examination conducted by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB). It is the first phase standardized examination that helps determine the eligibility and suitability of candidates for admission into various higher education institutions in the Nigeria.

PolyIbadan Full Time (FT) Cut-off Mark

Therefore, The Polytechnic, Ibadan has set a general UTME cut off mark for the institution’s National Diploma(ND) programs for aspirants/students to be eligible or qualified for the program.

As mentioned earlier, the general cut off mark for The Polytechnic, Ibadan ND Full Time program is minimum of 150 overall score in UTME.

PolyIbadan Daily Part-Time Program (DPP) Cut-off Mark

PolyIbadan has also conclude that for any aspirant applying for Daily Part-Time Program (DPP) form, he/she must have attained a minimum overall UTME score of 120 in the just concluded 2023 UTME examination.

However, The Polytechnic, Ibadan also give the priviledge to 2022 JAMB candidates as the institution will also be admitting them to her 2023/24 session into DPP program with a minimum cut-off mark of 100 overall UTME score. These implies that candidates who have a minimum JAMB score of 100 in the 2022 UTME examination can also apply for PolyIbadan 2023 application form.

Once you’re able to beat the institution UTME cut off mark for both FT and DPP, then you’re eligible to proceed with The Polytechnic, Ibadan application/screening form.

The Polytechnic, Ibadan Higher National Diploma (HND) 2023/24 Cut-off Mark

When will The Polytechnic, Ibadan (TPI) 2023/24 application form be released?

The Polytechnic, Ibadan has released their 2023/24 application form for both ND and HND applicants which commence Monday, 5th June, 2023 and will close on Tuesday, 8th August, 2023.

All applicants seeking admission into ND and HND in PolyIbadan must have chosen the polytechnic as their First Choice Institution with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are hereby invited to apply online for the 2023/2024 Pre-Admission Exercise.

TPI application form for each program differs in price and should be obtained through TPI admission portal before it closes officially.

Procedure To Apply for The Polytechnic, Ibadan (TPI) 2023/24 Application/Screening Form

Note that to apply for The Polytechnic, Ibadan (TPI) application form, you must have check your eligibility to be sure you’re eligible to apply.

However, below is the step-by-step guideline on how to apply.

  • Log on to the polytechnic official admission portal
  • Click on start application and complete the displayed fields (e.g. Full Name, Email, Program etc.) to create account.
  • Make sure your password is an easy to remember
  • Log on to the admission portal again using your email and password.
  • Click on bio-data to complete your bio (Note that bio-data cannot be edited once submitted)
  • Click on make payment button to go to Remita platform to pay a non-refundable registration fee of N2,000 for ND Full Time applicant, N15,000 for ND DPP applicants and N12,500 for HND applicants excluding REMITA charges.
  • Upon successful payment, click on ‘continue application’ on the left hand side of the undergraduate portal and enter your Email and Password; and click ‘login
  • Click on ‘my application’ button to continue, and complete all necessary details;
  • On the last page (acknowledgement page), candidates are expected to carefully review their application and confirm the entries before clicking on the Submit button. Candidates should thereafter print out and keep the Application Form displaying their passport photograph.

Candidates are advised to carefully enter their results as any error will be deemed as deliberate falsification of results, which would lead to automatic disqualification at any stage of discovery.
