Founded in 2009 by an individual, in 2020 NILE University was acquired by Honoris United Universities Network, the first and largest pan-African private higher education network.

Furthermore, In 2022, The Shehu of Borno, HRH Dr. Abubakar Garbai El-Kanemi was put in place as the Chancellor of this great institution.

Located in Abuja, Nile University sits on Plot 681, Cadastral Zone C-OO, Research & Institution Area, Jabi Airport Bypass, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.

Brief History Of NILE University

When it started out in 2009, NILE private university had only three faculties; Arts & Social Sciences, Engineering, and Natural & Applied Sciences, As well as 93 students ready to receive their first lecture.

Over time the University grew coupled with NILE’s commitment to providing education of the highest quality, they have added five more faculties making it eight faculties which include health sciences, arts and sciences, engineering, management sciences, natural and applied sciences, and law.

In 2014, Nile University established its School of Postgraduate Studies while also offering 34 undergraduate programs and 47 postgraduate programs.

Fast forward to 2020, the university was acquired by Honoris United Universities network Nile University has embarked on an accelerated project designed to support the university’s academic credentials.

Despite so much that have being achieved by the school, I believe one of if not their biggest achievement came in March 2021 when Nile University accepted to partner with the Ministry of Science and Technology in the production of the COVID-19 vaccine.

With the latest development rumored to be going on in the background, it’s no doubt that the sky is the limit for NILE University and not just the owners but for the students.
